I graduated from Eastern Kentucky University with a bachelors degree in Health Science. I have always had a passion for health and for the human body. Upon graduation, I became the administrator for the student health clinic on campus. After working there a few years and having my first child, my husband and I decided that I would become a stay at home mother. I went on to have two more little boys and gained the extra baby weight too. I did what every girl knows to do when they want to lose weight and hit the cardio classes and treadmill. I initially lost some weight, but I still didn't have the pre-baby body I wanted. I spent 2 hours a day at the gym 5 days a week and just couldn't seem to lose anymore fat.
Then came an appointment in 2017 with my doctor that changed a lot for me. I was diagnosed with thyroid cancer and 2/3rds of my thyroid was removed. I was terrified that only having 1/3 of my thyroid left would guarantee a lifetime of weight struggles. I did my research and decided that my best chance of keeping the fat off was to build more muscle, so fitness and eating healthy became my passion. I started seeing progress again when I finally left the group fitness room and entered the weight room. What I've learned is the body I want is built by getting stronger and growing the right muscles in the right places. What I didn't know I'd learn is I loved the empowerment and mental toughness I would also development as a result.
In 2019, I turned my passion into a career. I earned my personal training certification and started helping others learn how to build muscle and lose fat. I did my first bodybuilding show in 2019 and fell in love with the sport. Two years later I won a pro card as a natural bikini competitor and wanted to have more to offer my clients so I became a fitness nutrition specialist. I love helping other women and moms learn to lose weight and keep it off without doing extreme diets . I have been where you are and I know the challenges you face. Let me help you too!
When I'm not at work, I really love to spend time with my friends and family. I love to travel, explore nature, kayak, paint, dance, cook, try new foods, learn new things, and garden.
